Computer and Communication Engineering – A Program Crafted to Inspire Future
The world is currently experiencing a complete digital transformation, as the potential for digitization to improve our quality of life is immense. Long gone are the days when large computing machines were located in centralized locations with limited connectivity, only accessible to a select few. Cloud computing technology has brought computing facilities to our fingertips, and in the near future, with advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Web Technologies, Network Security, 4G, and upcoming 5G wireless technology, it is expected that every little thing around us will have computing and communication capabilities. This will lead to an evolution in communication, from human-to-machine to machine-to-machine communication. Machines are also being trained to work intelligently and precisely using machine learning algorithms, emphasizing the crucial role of computing and communication technologies in our lives, which will only become increasingly important in the coming days.
As a result, it is now difficult to categorize any machine as merely a computing or communicating device, as most devices serve both functions. Thus, the two fields must be studied together as a perfect blend of IoT, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Web technology, Data Communications, Wireless Communications, and more. Manipal University Jaipur has recognized this and offers a uniquely crafted program called Computer and Communication Engineering (CCE), where students can study all these innovative and exciting technologies under one umbrella. The program has received tremendous response from the student community and has produced great selections from the industry, with students securing offers from IT giants such as Microsoft, Dell, Value Labs, Nagarro, Goldman Sacs, Ericsson, Accenture, MindTree, TCS, IBM, Wipro, and BirlaSoft, among others.
The CCE program is offered by the School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) at Manipal University Jaipur, which is one of its three departments. The program provides an extra edge to its scholars, enabling them to apply for specialized PG programs, such as MS/MTech in Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Network Security, Human-Machine Interactions, Intelligent devices, and more.
